The Iota Localisation Audit...

What Does It Involve?

Before we dig into the stages of our localisation audit, let’s tackle what it doesn’t involve…

The first thing to make clear is that booking an audit doesn’t commit you to going ahead with any recommendations you might receive. The second thing to make clear is that there’s no charge for our initial localisation audit – so there’s no risk.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s run through the three key steps that make up the audit:

  1. Discovery Meeting – we’ll set up an initial 30-minute video call with you to understand your current localisation status and to discuss any challenges you might face. We’ll offer initial recommendations and if it’s appropriate, refer you to other industry sources and contacts if we feel they could add value to your plans.
  2. Asset Review – depending on the outcome of the first step, we’ll carry out an analysis of key assets (eg. UI files, marketing collateral, documentation) that may fall into the scope of any localisation programme you choose to implement. We’re happy to sign a mutual NDA before we move to this step.
  3. Follow-Up Meeting & Recommendations – the final step is for us to set up a video meeting to discuss the outcomes of the first two steps and our recommendations. We aim to keep these neutral and are happy to refer you to other service providers in the industry if we feel they’re better placed to help you meet your objectives.

What’s In It For Me?

Whether you’re just starting to take serious steps into international markets or you’re managing a mature localisation program, it can be beneficial to draw on the collective knowledge of a team who have handled virtually every type of localisation challenge you can imagine over the past 20 years.

Sometimes you’re too close to the action, and taking a step back can help you make decisions you’ve been struggling with for a while.

And of course, it always helps to have a full view of what your options may be, so you can choose what’s right for you.

Booking a localisation audit with Iota will be particularly beneficial for you if:

  1. You don’t have a localisation programme in place right now, but know it’s something you’re going to need to set up in the next year.
  2. You have a localisation programme in place, but you need to extend it to new countries or across different areas of your business and you’re not sure of the best way to do this.
  3. You have a localisation programme in place, and for whatever reason it’s not working well for you. Maybe it’s too labour-intensive at your end, not delivering the results you’d expect, or you’re getting negative feedback from local teams and users about their experience on the ground.
